My brief understanding of that supreme inherent knowledge, hey, son of Kunti, as to how, having attained perfection one attains the supreme spirit within is thus.
One who, making use of a pure intellect; having restrained oneself through resolve; letting go the domain of the sensory objects; casting off the pair of love-hate; practicing prudence; consuming less; constantly striving after the supreme profound meditation through speech, body and mind resting on freedom from all worldly desires; escaping from ego in relation to the insolance of power, lust and wrath; having freed onself from all worldly connections and being serene is fit for identification with the supreme spirit within.
True courage is cool and calm. The bravest of men have the least of a brutal, bullying insolence, and in the very time of danger are found the most serene and free. - Anthony Ashley Cooper
