Chapter 18 - The endeavor for Liberation - Slokas - 18, 19.
ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं परिज्ञाता त्रिविधा कर्मचोदना ।
करणं कर्म कर्तेति त्रिविधः कर्मसङ्ग्रहः ॥ १८-१८॥
करणं कर्म कर्तेति त्रिविधः कर्मसङ्ग्रहः ॥ १८-१८॥
ज्ञानं कर्म च कर्ता च त्रिधैव गुणभेदतः ।
प्रोच्यते गुणसङ्ख्याने यथावच्छृणु तान्यपि ॥ १८-१९॥
nyaanam jnyeyam parijnyaataa trividhaa karmachodanaa ।
karanam karma karteti trividhah’ karmasangrahah’ ॥ 18-18 ॥
nyaanam karma cha kartaa cha tridhaiva gunabhedatah’ ।
prochyate gunasankhyaane yathaavachchhri’nu taanyapi ॥ 18-19 ॥
Knowledge, object of knowledge and the knower all three are self-restrainers of any action. The organs of action, the act itself and the doer are three ways of gathering actions.
Listen also to that, what is exactly declared about the difference in the attributes of the triad namely the knowledge, the action and the doer in the theories of attributes.
